Community Health Worker Training

Become a Community Health Worker! Work within your community to connect people with the care and support they need. CHWs often come from the communities they serve, which helps them understand the unique challenges, cultures, and needs of their neighbors.
If you’re passionate about creating change in BIPOC communities, rural areas, and low-income neighborhoods, this program is for you!
Through this course, you’ll learn to:
· Connect individuals with local social services and healthcare providers
· Educate people about staying healthy
· Provide ongoing support and encouragement
· Advocate for better resources
· Empower others to advocate for themselves and their families
Upon completion, you’ll qualify for certification as a Community Health Worker and earn 90 Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) through the Office of Equity and Inclusion in the State of Oregon.
This Community Health Worker Certification Training Course is a collaboration between Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency and NEON. The course material is owned and provided by NEON to be instructed by Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency. The training is offered under NEONs State Approved Training Program.
