Being a woman is awesome, right? But we all know that during the month there are days when it’s just not. Now, imagine living in poverty, on the streets, or in a homeless shelter and having no access to hygiene products. Or bras, or underwear.
Mardi Bras is a nation-wide movement created in pockets all over the country to help raise awareness around the unique needs of women who are unhoused or living in poverty. Please join us on Saturday March 1st as we collect donations that can help bring dignity to women.
Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency is collecting your donations of new or gently used bras, new underwear, and period products, which will be distributed to those they serve in Marion and Polk Counties.
The event itself is a fun, free, drop-in donation and informative event. We encourage donors to also support our hosts at the Inferno by purchasing food and drinks. However, we don’t want you to miss a moment of the fun, so we have set up pre-sales for drinks and buffets here!
