Nutrition First FDCH CACFP Benefits

This program is free for all participants and aims to support providers in their essential roles of serving children and families while fostering positive relationships that encourage their continued involvement in child care.

In-home child care providers receive cash reimbursement for serving nutritious meals and snacks to children, helping to offset their food costs, regardless of family income. Additionally, reimbursement for meals provided to the provider’s own children are available based on income eligibility.

  • Easy-to-use provider handbook with information, sample menus, and recipe ideas.
  • Individualized help with menu planning and record keeping.
  • In-home nutrition education materials, stickers, and color sheets for the children.
  • Services in English, Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian.
  • Experienced, professional staff. Prompt and friendly service and support by phone, email, and in person.
  • Access to a registered dietitian, through the Oregon Department of Education.
  • Program paid access to KidKare.com for the providers participating on Child and Adult Food Program (CACFP) for all required data entry forms.
  • Tax year end statement available in KidKare under the reports.
